Foods high in nutrients can also be high in unwelcome amounts of chemicals, and sometimes too much of such foods can wreak havoc on your health. It’s also important to introduce variety into your meals and snacks to make sure you get the balance of nutrients your body needs.

GruntVegan: True cinnamon or Ceylon cinnamon appears to have substantially lower levels of coumarin. Although it costs more, it does have a nice flavor and should be safer than cassia cinnamon. This can often be found in health food stores. Saigon cassia cinnamon contains coumarin which can be toxic and has been linked to liver damage in some people if too much is consumed.
