Veganuary is a thing and this year it has taken off like never before. People in the UK and across the world are trying out veganism for the month of January and it's likely to have been a tricky task to take on for meat, cheese and chocolate lovers - whether they took on the challenge due to health reasons, ethical concerns or environmental causes.

GruntVegan: Any processed food like bread in its various forms can potentially have a number of non vegan ingredients from duck feathers to pancreatic enzymes. Some of the more common non-vegan ingredients include milk, whey, casein, honey or eggs. Enzymes such phospholipase is derived from pig pancreatic tissue, and rennet and trypsin are also derived from animals. L-cysteine, used as a dough conditioner and flavor enhancer, is most commonly derived from duck feathers and, less frequently, from pigs’ bristles and hooves. In some Asian countries, L-cysteine is also derived from human hair.
